What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at US Hwy 82 in Baylor County, TX on December 4th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:20 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 2500 was eastbound on US 82 as a Toyota Prius headed westbound. Reports allege the Dodge traveled onto the wrong side of the road, colliding head-on with the Toyota. The driver of the Prius, identified as 34-year-old Anthony Rodriguez and 31-year-old passenger, Kimberly Perez, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The Dodge operator, identified as 28-year-old Tanner Gillespie, was hospitalized with suspected non-life-threatening injuries. Additional details were not released.
