What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 6 in Missouri City, TX on January 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:53 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Tacoma operated by a 66-year-old Stafford man was going northbound on Hwy 6 nearing Vicksburg Blvd. The vehicle is alleged to have run a red light, traveling into the intersection and colliding with a Lincoln Navigator operated by 33-year-old Ashley Cruz. Cruz was seriously injured in the collision. The Stafford man was not injured and officers recommended and/or issued a Driving While Intoxicated charge.
