What Happened

Authorities have information on a two-vehicle collision that injured one person involved at I-45 in Houston, TX on July 4th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Charger operated by 35-year-old Brandie Galindo is believed to have been eastbound in a parking lot. At the same time, a Honda Civic operated by 21- year-old Rueben Sherman was northbound, turning westbound in the parking lot. Officials allege the Honda failed to yield before it was struck by the Dodge. The collision left Galindo with suspected minor injuries. Officials say Sherman was possibly injured and sources indicate a Failure to Stop and Render Aid charge was issued and/or recommended.
