What Happened

A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision at I-45 in Dallas, TX on December 17th, 2022. Police say the crash happened around 4:33 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Cube operated by an unnamed 26-year-old woman was headed northbound on I-45 with a deflated tire. The vehicle is said to have been traveling below the posted speed limit in a far right lane or shoulder prior to attempting to return to the roadway. Officers believe the vehicle performed an unsafe lane change, colliding with a tractor-trailer in the process. The resulting collision left a passenger in the Nissan, identified as 35-year-old Brianna Lanise Fort, with fatal injuries. The driver of the vehicle had serious injuries while the truck operator, an unnamed 20-year-old woman, was evaluated for possible injuries.
