What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at State Hwy 155 in Coffee City, TX on November 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. According to investigators, a Buick Regal operated by an unnamed 40-year-old Chandler, TX man was exiting a parking lot to turn left onto State Hwy 155 and allegedly failed to yield. The vehicle traveled into the path of a southbound motorcycle operated by 39-year-old Broderick Freeney. The collision left Freeney suffered serious injuries. The Chandler man was not injured and officers recommended and/or issued a Failure to Yield Right of Way charge.
