What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Mason St in Mabank, TX on August 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:34 p.m. Investigators say a GMC Sierra operated by 40-year-old Raymond Vasquez is alleged to have failed to control its speed and collided with an eastbound vehicle stopped at red light. The driver of the stopped vehicle, identified as 55-year-old Byron Ray Jones, suffered serious injuries. Vasquez was also seriously injured and officers recommended and/or issued a Failure to Control Speed charge.
