What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian at I-45 in Harris County, TX on December 17th, 2022. Police say it happened around 10:38 p.m. According to investigators, 28-year-old Cardale Gamble was previously in a vehicle in an east parking lot before exiting the vehicle to retrieve a lost item. As Gamble searched the parking lot, police say another occupant of the vehicle entered the drivers seat and began driving the vehicle. Gamble is alleged to have gone after the vehicle, which at some point is believed to have caused Gamble to fall into the road. Before Gamble was able to exit the roadway, she was struck by three other vehicles. Police say 3 of the vehicles, including the original vehicle that allegedly hit Gamble, did not remain at the scene. Gamble suffered fatal injuries in the incident.
