What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision hat killed a pedestrian at FM 672 in Bastrop County, TX on July 23rd, 2023. Police say the incident may have occurred around 3:23 a.m. Police believe an unknown vehicle headed northeast on FM 672 collided with a pedestrian. Investigators believe the pedestrian, identified as 23-year-old Cesar Bosca Mendoza, was previously involved in a separate accident  that saw Mendoza exit that vehicle. Investigators allege Mendoza was in or near the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle that did not remain at the scene following the collision. Mendoza suffered fatal injuries in the incident.
