What Happened

Authorities have charged a person in connection with a crash that left a child dead at Barker Cypress Rd in Houston, TX on December 31st, 2022. Officials say the incident involved a Toyota Camry that was seen speeding by officers around 8:25 p.m. Police say the vehicle died not stop as authorities attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle. It instead allegedly ran a red light before colliding with a Jaguar X-Type on Park Row Blvd. Rayo and four passenger were all hospitalized with injuries that one died from. Police say the victim was a 12-year-old child. The driver of the Jaguar was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Police have charged Rayo with murder in connection with the crash.
