What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a child at FM 151 in Fannin County, TX on September 7th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. According to investigators, a Cadillac XTS operated by 36-year-old Kyle Wilson was northbound, approaching a curve in the roadway. The vehicle is said to have lost control while navigating the curve before crashing into a metal pipe fence and tree. Officials say an 8-year-old child suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Two additional child passengers, ages 10 and 6 were hospitalized with serious injuries. Also injured was 30-year-old passenger, identified as 30-year-old China Gunn as well as Wilson, according to sources. Additional information was not immediately available.
