What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at China Spring Rd in Waco, TX on July 29th, 2023. Police believe the incident happened around 9:01 p.m. According to investigators, a southbound Chevrolet Silverado operated by an unknown driver is alleged to have drifted left onto a curb. Upon attempting to correct back onto the roadway, police say the vehicle over-corrected and performed a faulty evasive action, turning right. In the process, the vehicle struck a Chevrolet Malibu operated by 48-year-old Christie Oliver before exiting the roadway. The Malibu struck a tree, leaving Oliver with suspected serious injuries that she was hospitalized for treatment of. Officials say the driver of the Silverado fled the scene.
