Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 59 in Polk County, TX on August 23rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:38 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Cruze operated by 40-year-old Christopher Brown was in an outside southbound lane of US 59. Police say a tractor-trailer ahead was stopping due to a school bus ahead stopping to pick up children. Officials say the Cruze collided with the rear of the semi-truck, leaving Brown with injuries said to be serious in nature. No other injuries were reported. Additional information was not available.
