What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a motorcyclist at Centerville Rd in Garland, TX on September 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:42 p.m. According to investigators, a Cadillac Escalade operated by a 43-year-old Garland man was eastbound on Centerville Rd before attempting an eastbound turn onto Commerce St. Police allege the vehicle failed to yield right-of-way before the turn, proceeding into the path of a westbound motorcycle. The motorcyclist, identified as 24-year-old Christopher Sadler, was ejected from the motorcycle in the crash, suffering suspected serious injuries. The Cadillac is alleged to have fled the scene before later being taken into custody. Sources indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against the Garland man.
