What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at I-45 in Houston, TX on August 18th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:22 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer headed southbound is alleged to to have struck a Chevrolet Silverado. The impact led to a multi-vehicle crash involving at least three other vehicles. A driver in one of the vehicles, identified as 29-year-old Clarissa Arther, suffered injuries suspected to be serious in nature. Officials say there were no other reported injuries and sources indicate a Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued against the tractor-trailer operator.
