What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at FM 901 in Grayson County, TX on July 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:52 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 20-year-old Claude Speaker was northbound before leaving its lane of travel for unconfirmed reasons. The vehicle is said to have traveled into a ditch before vaulting across a nearby driveway. The vehicle made contact with a utility pole and overturned, ejecting Speaker from the vehicle and causing fatal injuries. Police were not able to confirm if other suspected factors in the crash contributed to the crash.
