What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Loop 323 in Tyler, TX on May 11th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:04 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 39-year-old Sulphur Springs man was turning westbound on Loop 323 from US 69 when it struck a Toyota Tacoma operated by 38-year-old Curtis Andrew Daniels. Police say Daniels had injuries believed to be serious in nature. The Sulphur Springs man was not injured and issued a citation for Unsafe Lane Change.
