What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at FM 2004 in Brazoria County, TX on September 11th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:46 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer was northbound as Dodge Avenger headed eastbound on County 208 approached. Police allege the Dodge may have run a stop sign before veering right and colliding with the tractor-trailer. Officials say the truck rolled into an east ditch, leaving the driver, identified as 49-year-old Curtis Mark, with fatal injuries. The Dodge operator, identified as 29-year-old Dustin Clark, had serious injuries, according to police. Additional information was not immediately available.
