What Happened

Harris County Sheriff's Office authorities are searching for a driver in connection with a hit-and-run collusion at Clay Rd in Houston, TX on January 13th, 2023. Officers say it happened around 3:43 a.m. Investigators believe a Chevrolet Trailblazer was headed westbound on Clay Rd as a Honda Accord was headed southbound on Hickory Downs Dr. The  Accord is said to have attempted to turn left onto Clary Rd, colliding with the Trailblazer at the intersection. Officers were not able to say which vehicle had right-of-way at the time. Following the crash, the driver of the Trailblazer exited the vehicle and fled on-foot. The other driver, identified Daniel Rodriguez, was killed in the crash. No other information was available.
