What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 79 in Williamson County, TX on February 22nd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:41 p.m. Investigators are saying a Kia Optima was westbound before losing control and colliding with there eat of a Chevrolet Blazer stopped at a red light. Reports indicate an object near the brake pedal in the Kia may have prevented the driver from coming to a stop prior to the collision. The crash is said to have seriously injured Chevrolet operator, 58-year-old Danny Haddix. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured.
