What Happened

Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a driver injured at State Hwy 155 in Tyler, TX on February 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:52 a.m. Investigators are saying a Jeep Compass operated by 26-year-old Darrishia Crawford had been heading northbound on Beckham approaching the intersection with East Houston. While attempting to turn onto Houston, police say the vehicle veered onto a northeast sidewalk, striking a telephone pole. The vehicle also hit a traffic signal pole before police allege Crawford left the scene on-foot. Upon locating Crawford, officers say she had injuries believed to be serious and she was hospitalized for treatment.
