What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-35 in Fort Worth, TX on January 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:35 p.m. According to investigators, an Acura TSX operated by 28-year-old David Edward Lucas was headed northbound, allegedly in and out of travel lanes. The vehicle enter up colliding with the left rear of a a tractor-trailer operated by a 31-year-old Austin man. The collision left Lucas seriously injured, according to police. The Austin man was uninjured. Officers expressed suspicion of possible alcohol involvement in the crash.
