What Happened

Police say intoxication played a factor in a crash that killed one person at US 287 in Corsicana, TX on April 24th, 2021. Texas Department of Public Safety officials say the incident happened around 2:45 a.m. A Ford Mustang operated by 20-year-old Davius Brown was leaving a private drive to enter onto northbound 287 when it was struck by a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 58-year-old Timothy Russell. The impact pushed the Mustang from the road and police say Brown died on impact. The Dodge had reportedly been traveling without its headlights active and police suspect this allowed Brown to believe the roadway was clear. Police also determined that Russell was allegedly intoxicated while driving at the time of the crash and he was charged with intoxication manslaughter. Both he and his passenger, a 60-year-old woman, were evaluated for potential injuries.

If that's not enough information, you might need an Open Records Packet. An ORP is essentially all evidence that the authorities have collected. It usually contains photos, witness statements, measurements, and more and goes way beyond the police report.
