What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 290 in Harper County, TX on March 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:51 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Avalanche operated by a 22-year-old male was headed westbound on US 290 when it failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a Toyota Sequoia operated by 68-year-old Debra Allen Hamilton. The collision caused the Toyota to crash into a utility pole before overturned into a bank awning. The crash caused Hamilton serious injuries and a passenger in the Chevrolet minor injuries.
