What Happened

El Paso Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision at North Mesa in El Paso, TX on September 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:18 p.m. According to investigators, a Yamaha motorcycle was northbound on Mesa before striking the passenger side of a Volkswagen Tiguan as the vehicle entered into the path of the motorcycle. The collision injured both drivers and officials say they were hospitalized for treatment. The motorcyclist, identified as 19-year-old Diego Ivan Benjamin Martinez, later died from his injuries.
