What Happened

Area authorities identified the person killed in a crash at Marsha Sharp and Buddy Holly Ave in Lubbock, TX on November 3rd, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 9 a.m. According to investigators, an SUV headed eastbound on an access road collided at the intersection with an armored truck operated by Victor Gonzalez. The collision ejected Gonzalez and a passenger, 64-year-old Dwayne Smart, from the vehicle. Smart suffered injuries he would later die from. Gonzalez and five people in the SUV, including its driver, 20-year-old Vasile Mustata, had varying levels of injuries. Additional details were not available.
