Police say the incident happened around 9:26 p.m. According to investigators, a Acura MDX operated by 56-year-old Eddie Jimerson was headed eastbound on FM 1960 when it collided with a Hyundai Sonata stopped waiting for a traffic signal to turn green. The driver of the Hyundai, an unnamed 22-year-old Cypress woman, suffered minor injuries. Jimerson was more seriously injured. Additional information was not provided.
