What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at State Hwy 21 and Legend Oaks Dr in Bastrop County, TX on January 17th, 2021. Officials say the incident happened around 12:33 p.m. A vehicle operated by 37-year-old Alejandro Melendez reportedly failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a vehicle that was stopped to make a turn. The driver of the stopped vehicle, 27-year-old Elizabeth Amber Rocha was evaluated for possible injuries. No other injuries were reported and Melendez was charged with failure to control speed.
