What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at West Davis St in Dallas, TX on January 11th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:10 p.m. According to investigators, a vehicle was headed eastbound on West Davis St, allegedly while street racing another vehicle. For unknown reasons, reports say the vehicle lost control and crossed a center median before colliding with an SUV. Reports say the SUV was struck by a truck following the initial collision. It was stated by officials the driver of the first vehicle, Favian Venegas,  died while the SUV operator and occupants of the truck had non-life-threatening injuries. Additional details were not available.
