Corpus Christi Police released details related to the crash that injured four people on Ruth St in Corpus Christi, TX on February 4th, 2019. Police say a suspect in custody managed to escape and take a vehicle. That vehicle then crashed into another vehicle, causing it to overturn. The four people inside the overturned vehicle were all hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The two officers involved in the incident also sustained minor injuries. The suspect was later charged with theft, evading on foot, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and aggravated assault of a police officer.
