What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Joe Fulton Corridor Rd in Corpus Christi, TX on January 13th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:20 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 57-year-old Rio Grande City man was involved in a c collision with a Toyota Tacoma operated by 50-year-old Francisco Curiel Jr. It was alleged to authorities that the Toyota attempted to perform a sudden left turn and did not signal when doing so. The two vehicles vehicles collided as a result, leaving Curiel with injuries officers believed to be serious. The other driver was not injured. Officers allege suspicion of possible alcohol involvement in the crash.
