What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Shadowdale Dr in Houston, TX on February 24th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:33 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by 55-year-old Francisco Lopez was headed westbound on Westview Dr as a Chevrolet Express Van was headed eastbound on Westview. Police allege the van failed to yield while turning left at the intersection, colliding with the Trailblazer. The collision left Lopez with serious injuries, according to police. The other driver, an unnamed 44-year-old Houston man, was allegedly uninjured. Due to suspicion of alcohol involvement, officers recommended a DWI charge be issued against the driver of the van.
