What Happened

Police in the area have information on a crash that killed a driver at US 82 in Wichita Falls, TX on September 13th, 2022. Officials are saying it happened around 5:13 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Terrain operated by a 54-year-old Shreveport woman was headed eastbound in a right center lane. The vehicle approached the intersection with Holliday St, colliding with a Nissan Altima. Officers say they were told by two witnesses at the scene that the GMC allegedly ran a red light at the intersection prior to the collision. The driver of the the Nissan, identified as 83-year-old Gerald Wright, was killed in the collision. The Shreveport woman had minor injuries. Additional information was not available.
