What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 2247 in Comanche County, TX on January 1st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:40 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC C2500 operated by 45-year-old Cornelia Dell Embry was traveling southbound, approaching road bumps. The bumps are said to have caused a trailer being towed by the GMC to detach and travel into a northbound lane. It struck a Ford Mustang operated by 40-year-old Harvey Dale Slaughter, leaving Slaughter with serious injuries. Embry was not injured and officers recommended and/or issued a Safety Chain Violation.
