What Happened

San Antonio Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-37 and Donop Rd in San Antonio, TX on September 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Blazer reportedly veered out of the way of a pickup truck that allegedly veered into its lane. A tire from the pickup truck struck the Blazer, forcing it into a grass median. As the Blazer attempted to correct back onto the road, it lost control and overturned, ejecting the driver and  5-year-old child. 59-year-old Henry Stevenson suffered fatal injuries. The child suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. The driver of the pickup is expected to be charged with Failure to Stop and Render aid.
