What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at FM 1093 in Fort Bend County, TX on August 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:23 a.m. According to investigators, a Volkswagen Passat operated by 22-year-old Houlayematou Savane is said to have been headed eastbound, approaching a curve in the road. The vehicle is said to have lost control before leaving the roadway and overturning several times. Savane was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 39-year-old Julien Ruesche, suffered suspected serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
