What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-20 in Midland, TX on December 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:11 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by an unnamed 44-year-old Avondale, AZ man was headed eastbound ahead of a Ford F-150. As the tractor-trailer was attempting to drive into a shoulder lane to allow the Ford to pass, the Ford is said to have also veered into the same shoulder. The Ford strict the rear of the commercial truck, leaving the driver with serious injuries. The driver was identified s 32-year-old Humberto Rafael Flores. Additional details were not available.
