What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash injured two people at Hwy 21 in Sabine County, TX on January 11th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Investigators believe that as an eastbound pickup truck was slowing to turn into the Lost Frontier RV Park, it was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer. The pickup truck driver, 23-year-old Bret McGee and a passenger, 22-year-old Hunter Thibodaux, were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The other driver and his passenger were reportedly uninjured. Additional information was not available.
