What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 73 in Jefferson County, TX on December 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu operated by an unnamed 34-year-old Denver, CO woman was headed eastbound on Hwy 73 when it allegedly failed to control its speed. The vehicle collided with the rear of a GMC Sierra operated by 31-year-old Irvin Guevara. The collision caused the vehicles to veer from the road into a nearby ditch, leaving Guevara with serious injuries.
