What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash at FM 551 in Fate, TX on August 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Tundra operated by 40-year-old Jacinda Annette Smith was headed southbound on FM 551 when it reportedly lost control wet roads and collided with the rear of a northbound semi-truck. A passenger in the Toyota, identified as 40-year-old Jose Nolasco, suffered minor injuries. Smith was more seriously injured while the truck driver was not injured.
