What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officers are investigating a crash at Lemmon Ave in Dallas, TX on December 11th, 2022. Police place the accident happening around 9:36 p.m. According to investigators, a Mazda CX-5 operated by 33-year-old Eduardo Villanueva was one of three vehicles involved in the crash. The second vehicle was a Lincoln MKZ operated by an unnamed 42-year-old Dallas woman. The third vehicle was a Nissan Altima operated by 25-year-old Jaqueline Rios. Officers believe the Mazda was traveling eastbound without active headlights and failed to yield at an intersection. This led to a collision between the three vehicles, which seriously injured Rios. The Dallas woman had minor injuries while Villanueva and the other driver were evaluated for possible injuries. Villanueva, according to authorities, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
