What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at Fred Wilson in El Paso, TX on July 31st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:43 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 23-year-old Jailen Bedward is believed to have been headed eastbound. The vehicle was entering the intersection with Chaffe when the vehicle allegedly continued straight at a median before making contact with a pillar. The impact from the collision left Beward with serious injuries. Officials say Bedward was hospitalized before later dying from his injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
