Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Green Pastures Rd in Hays County, TX on August 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:02 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 45-year-old James Weatherford Jr was headed northeast on Green Pastures Rd on a road that is said to have been in poor condition at an alleged unsafe speed. The vehicle lost control while taking the section of bumpy road, causing Weatherford to be separated from the vehicle and a serious head injury. Weatherford was taken to an area hospital for treatment and died shortly after arrival. Additional information was not available.
