What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at FM 2528 in Lubbock, TX on July 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:40 p.m. Investigators say a motorcycle traveling behind a Jeep lost control while attempting to brake and began going into a skid. It ended up colliding with the Jeep, which was slowing to make a u-turn. The motorcyclist, identified as 34-year-old Jeffery Husketh, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. The occupants of the Jeep were not injured, according to police. Additional information was not immediately available.
