What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that left at least one person dead at US 281 in Marble Falls, TX on March 16th, 2023. Police say it happened around 6:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford passenger car was allegedly headed northbound in a southbound lane of travel prior to colliding with a Chevrolet Colorado. The driver of the Ford, identified as 46-year-old Jerardo Lanza-Buezo, was killed in the collision. His passenger, 47-year-old Wilmer Menzia was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Also hospitalized was the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 83-year-old James Nobles. Police say Nobles also had injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. No additional information has been provided at this time.
