What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 163 in Val Verde, TX on January 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:32 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Accent operated by 23-year-old Jose Iracheta was headed southbound approaching a curve in the roadway. The vehicle is alleged to have been traveling at an unsafe speed, causing it to veer from the road into a barrow ditch. This caused the vehicle to overturn, ejecting Iracheta from the vehicle and causing fatal injuries. Officials have not shared any additional information.
