What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 8 in Stafford, TX on March 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:10 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Pathfinder operated by 21-year-old Jose Mosqueda Ribiause was southbound before veering from its lane for unclear reasons. The vehicle went into a grassy area before colliding with the concrete base of a light pole. The collision left Ribiause with fatal injuries at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
