What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 87 in Lubbock, TX on December 3rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:05 a.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 42-year-old Joseph Hernandez was headed southbound on US 87 when it veered onto a median while attempting to take an exit onto 114th St. The vehicle went left while attempting to return to the roadway, going into a skid in the process. The vehicle overturned, ejecting Hernandez from the vehicle and causing serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
