What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-35 in Gainesville, TX on April 17th, 2024. Polices say the incident happened around 11:22 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Charger headed northbound is alleged to have entered into a median while attempting to avoid striking a semi-truck in traffic ahead. Reports claim authorities were attempting to stop the vehicle on a traffic violation as a it lost control int he median, staking a nearby Chevrolet Suburban. The occupants of the Suburban were allegedly injured. The driver of the Dodge, identified as 31-year-old Joseph Wilford, was seriously injured, according to reports. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
