Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Versa Note operated by 32-year-0old John Nunn was headed northbound on I-45, approaching a Lincoln MKX that was disabled in a traffic lane. The vehicle is said to have failed to control its speed, colliding with the Lincoln and caused fatal injuries to its driver. The driver was identified as 73-year-old Juan Silva. Nunn and a passenger, 34-year-old Mandelyn Lee, had minor injuries, according to police. Officers expressed suspicion of possible alcohol involvement in the incident.
