What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Marsh Ln in Carrollton, TX on January 21st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:45 a.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Santa Fe operated by 50-year-old Julie Looney was headed southbound before making contact with a curb. It caused the vehicle to veer to the left before crossing a center median and traveling airborne before landing into a storm drainage area and into a wall. Looney was ejected from the vehicle in the crash, causing fatal injuries. At this time, police do not have any additional information available.
